GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ — A 30-year-old Rahway man died Tuesday morning after a pair of collisions on Interstate 295 in Greenwich Township, reports Daily Voice.
New Jersey State Police said the events unfolded on the northbound lanes at milepost 16.6, near Swedesboro Road, at about 6:10 a.m.
According to authorities, he was initially involved in one crash with an unknown vehicle that left his car disabled in the left center lane. Shortly after, his car was rear-ended by another vehicle.
The Rahway man was pronounced deceased on the scene, confirmed NJSP. The driver of the striking car sustained major injuries.
At this time, NJSP continues to investigate. No other information has been made available.
