Man dies after car hits utility pole off US-322 in Glassboro

GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ — A 62-year-old man was fatally hurt Monday afternoon due to a rollover crash involving a utility pole off U.S. Route 322 in Glassboro, reports Daily Voice.

The accident occurred in the 200 block of Route 322, or High Street East, near the center of the city. It was first reported shortly after 4:06 p.m.

According to Glassboro Police, the man was behind the wheel of a Toyota Camry driving westbound, when, for reasons still unknown, the car veered off the roadway. It then collided with the power pole and overturned.

Emergency responders rushed the victim by airlift to Cooper Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased shortly after.

No other injuries were reported, and no other vehicles appear to have been involved.
