Man dies after car hits trees on US-322 in Hamilton Township

ATLANTIC COUNTY, NJ — A 70-year-old man died Monday morning after a single-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 322 in the Mays Landing area of Hamilton Township, reports Daily Voice.

Township of Hamilton Police Department officers responded to the scene on the highway (Black Horse Pike) near Pinehurst Drive at about 9:26 a.m.

Authorities determined the man was driving a 2022 Pontiac Grand Prix eastbound, when, for reasons still unknown, the vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck multiple trees.

The male driver sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Five area agencies, including crews with Hamilton Township Rescue Squad, AtlantiCare Paramedics, and Mays Landing Fire Department, were all called to the scene.

The Township of Hamilton Police Department continues to investigate the fatal wreck.
