Man Dead in Route 21, Pedestrian Accident

NEWARK, NJ – A man is dead following a pedestrian accident Saturday night in Newark, according to NJ.com.

The accident happened just before 11:45 p.m. at the intersection of 4th Avenue and Route 21, also known as McCarter Highway, when a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.

It is unclear at this time if the driver stayed at the scene after the collision.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
