BERGEN COUNTY, NJ – A 40-year-old man was charged with DWI after a rollover crash Saturday night that damaged two parked vehicles in Glen Rock, reports Daily Voice.
The incident occurred at the T intersection of Rock Road and Midwood Road, just before 10:30 p.m.
According to Glen Rock Police, the man was driving a 2002 Ford Expedition SUV when it collided with a nearly 20-year-old Honda CR-V and a newer Honda Accord that were parked nearby. Both victim vehicles sustained heavy damage and had to be towed from the site.
The causing driver was unable to tell authorities what happened and displayed several signs of intoxication at the scene, including a strong odor of alcohol and slurred speech.
He was taken by ambulance to Valley Hospital in Ridgewood with non-life-threatening injuries. While there, blood samples were also taken for a toxicology test, which resulted in his DWI charge. He was also ticketed for careless driving.
