BUENA VISTA, NJ – A man is facing charges of driving while intoxicated in connection to a fatal ATV accident last year in Buena Vista, according to NJ.com.

The accused is Buena Vista man Michael Brown, who is facing charges of leaving the scene of a fatal accident, receiving stolen property, and vehicular homicide. He was arrested Wednesday in Camden County, according to police reports.

The accident happened on September 20, 2019, just before 9:30 p.m. when Brown allegedly crashed a Honda ATV in the area of West Colton Lane and West Cushman Avenue. The ATV ejected Brown and a passenger, Williamstown man Christopher Vasinda, 34, after colliding with a tree.

Vasinda died at the site of the accident.

Brown allegedly fled the scene and was reportedly operating the ATV while under the influence, according to investigators.

Brown is currently being held in the Atlantic County Jail.
