Jackknifed tractor-trailer closes two lanes on NJT in Linden

UNION COUNTY, NJ — A big rig jackknifed late Tuesday morning, blocking two left lanes on the New Jersey Turnpike in east Linden, according to 511NJ TPK.

The accident impacted the northbound turnpike south of Interchange 13 to Interstate 278 toward Goethals Bridge. It was first recorded by 511NJ shortly before 11:33 a.m.

Few details have been provided at this time, but two left lanes out of four travel lanes were closed as a result of the incident.

Authorities have not disclosed the condition of the driver or confirmed any injuries as of this writing.
