Elderly Woman Killed, 2 Others Injured in Brick Crash

BRICK, NJ – An elderly woman was killed and two other individuals were injured following a two-vehicle collision in the Township of Brick yesterday morning, NJ.com reports.

Emergency responders were called to the scene of a minivan-vs.-car crash on Lanes Mill Road between Kirk Lane and Greenwood Loop Road at about 9:45 a.m. Sunday. 78-year-old Nancy Penrod was not breathing when they arrived. They transported her to a nearby hospital, where she died.

The minivan’s 78-year-old male driver was hospitalized alongside the 30-year-old woman driving the car. Both were treated for minor injuries.

All three victims were Brick residents.

Police did not say how the accident occurred, and further investigations are believed to be ongoing.
