CAPE MAY COUNTY, NJ — An 80-year-old Dennis Township resident died last Thursday, December 29, after being hit by a vehicle in an Upper Township intersection, reports Daily Voice.
According to New Jersey State Police, the fatal incident occurred at the corner of Stagecoach Road and Brewhause Lane at around 6:30 p.m.
The circumstances of the crash remain unclear, but witnesses told authorities a man in an SUV fled the scene before troopers arrived.
The victim, who was from the Ocean View area of Dennis Township, died as a result of their injuries.
On January 3, 2023, Daily Voice reported that a male suspect has been identified and arrested. No information regarding pending charges has been disclosed at this time.
