MERCER COUNTY, NJ — An 85-year-old man died Sunday night after a pedestrian crash on Route 29 in Trenton’s Lamberton area, according to Daily Voice.
Trenton Police said the fatal incident occurred at South Warren Street, near Cooper Field, at around 9:30 p.m.
The circumstances behind the event have not been disclosed, but authorities said the male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle driven by a 21-year-old Pennsylvania resident.
The victim, identified by authorities as Dowell Houston, of Trenton, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
It remains unclear whether driver or pedestrian error was the cause of the crash. Though the driver was issued a number of motor vehicle summonses, she has not been criminally charged as of Tuesday, March 7.
