GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ — A 94-year-old man has died following a two-vehicle wreck in Franklin Township that left two other people injured, according to Daily Voice.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Delsea Drive (New Jersey Route 27) and Paul Street, in the Franklinville area, at about 2:27 p.m.

Franklin Township Police said the man, John Haynicz, a Monroeville resident, was driving a pickup truck. For reasons still unclear, the pickup collided with an SUV driven by a 34-year-old Sewell man.

While Haynicz was conscious when he was transported to Inspira Medical Center Mullica Hill, he was later airlifted to Cooper University Hospital in Camden. Police learned on Saturday that the patient had succumbed to his injuries.

His passenger, a 90-year-old woman, also of Monroeville, was transported to Inspira where she was being treated for moderate foot injuries.

The driver of the SUV, who suffered head injuries, was transported to Jefferson Washington Township Hospital.

No further information has been shared, as an investigation remains in progress.
