Elderly driver crashes into Fair Lawn convenience store

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Property damage was reported Tuesday morning after a woman crashed her car into a convenience store in southeast Fair Lawn, reports Daily Voice.

The accident occurred at Quick Mart, located in a small shopping center at 17-11 Broadway, shortly before 10:00 a.m.

It was unclear what led up to the wreck, but the woman was behind the wheel of a Toyota Avalon sedan when it slammed into the business storefront.

Multiple emergency crews, including borough police, firefighters, and members of the Fair Lawn Rescue Squad, responded to the scene.

The driver was not reported injured, but the store appeared to have sustained extensive damage.

A building inspector was called to the site to evaluate the structural safety of the building.

No pending charges or citations have been reported at this time.
