ATLANTIC COUNTY, NJ – A 44-year-old pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in Egg Harbor Township on Sunday evening, according to Nj.com.
A vehicle, driven by an Egg Harbor Township man, was westbound on East Black Horse Pike when it hit the pedestrian near Palermo Avenue at about 8 p.m.
The pedestrian, identified as Pedro Silva, died at the scene.
The driver, a 26-year-old man, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. He has not been charged.
The area was closed for about five hours.
The accident remains under investigation.
