UNION COUNTY, NJ — A rollover crash involving a dump truck Thursday morning shut down an Interstate 78 exit ramp in Springfield, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
The accident happened on the Exit 4B ramp connecting I-78 eastbound to Route 24 westbound. It was first reported by NJDOT at about 7:38 a.m.
No information on the circumstances of the wreck has been made available, but the ramp remained fully closed for at least 20 minutes following the initial report.
Motorists were instructed to find alternate paths around the scene.
