NEWARK, NJ – Local authorities are investigating a hit-and-run accident involving a tractor-trailer in Newark early on Monday morning.

According to RLS Media, the accident was reported near the intersection of McCarter Highway and South Street in the East Ward section of Newark at about 2:40 a.m. A tractor-trailer had been rear-ended by a car.
