BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — A vehicle crashed off Interstate 295 near Florence Township and hit multiple trees last Friday, claiming the life of its driver, reports Daily Voice.
The fatal accident occurred on a stretch of I-295 at milepost 51, about a mile south of Columbus Road. New Jersey State Police and first responders arrived on the scene shortly after 5:50 p.m.
According to investigators, 64-year-old Frank C. Parolari, of New Egypt, was driving a Dodge pickup truck northbound. At one point, for reasons still unclear, the vehicle traveled off of the roadway and collided with several trees.
Parolari died from his injuries at the scene, confirmed officials.
No other occupants or vehicles appear to have been involved.
The NJSP continues to investigate.
