PATERSON, NJ – The driver of a tractor-trailer was injured after the vehicle jackknifed in a crash last night on Interstate 80, reports the Atlantic Daily Voice.
The accident happened around midnight Saturday near westbound Exit 58, when the truck traveled over the median. The trailer separated from the trailer and both parts of the truck landed on opposite sides of the highway.
The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital for the treatment of non-critical injuries.
Multiple lanes of the highway were closed and crews were called to clean up a fuel spill resulting from the crash.
