PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — A 59-year-old Bergen County man was injured Sunday morning due to a rollover wreck on Interstate 80 in Totowa, according to local media.
New Jersey State Police said the accident occurred on the westbound lanes near milepost 54.7, just after Minnisink Road. It was first reported at around 4:24 a.m.
An early investigation shows the man was behind the wheel of a Mercedes Benz E Class when it traveled off the roadway and hit the guardrail. Officials said the car overturned in the impact of the crash, leaving the driver and sole occupant pinned inside.
First responders transported the male driver to a local hospital with injuries considered non-life-threatening.
No other vehicles were involved.
The cause of the collision remains unclear at this time, but an investigation is ongoing.
