MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ — A 62-year-old Jersey Shore man died Thursday morning after a single-vehicle wreck off the Garden State Parkway near Sayreville, reports Daily Voice.

New Jersey State Police responded to the scene along the northbound offramp to Jon Bon Jovi Service Area shortly after receiving a call at about 10:53 a.m.

An early investigation indicates the man was driving a Ford F-150 pickup truck on the ramp when, for reasons still unknown, the Ford hit the right guardrail and continued off the right side of the roadway. The pickup then rolled and collided with multiple trees.

Officials said the driver, a Rumson resident, died as a result of his injuries.

No further details have been provided at this time, but an investigation remains ongoing.
