NEWARK, NJ – 24-year-old Nathalia Bruno was driving for Door Dash on Monday when she got caught in a flash flood near the tennis courts of Benson Avenue. According to the
Daily Voice, Bruno tried to escape the vehicle, but she was swept along into a tunnel and under the water. Eventually she was rescued by responders and transported to St. Mary’s General Hospital in Passaic. The extent of Bruno’s injuries are unknown at this time.
Throughout the day, many people and vehicles had to be rescued from the flood. Our team will continue to monitor the situation and post an update as we learn more.
