Crews respond to Woodland Park hit-and-run pedestrian crash

PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run collision Sunday night in Woodland Park that left a pedestrian injured, according to local media.

The incident was reported in the area of 1145 McBride Avenue, at about 7:15 p.m. Local police and EMS crews were dispatched to the scene shortly after.

Preliminary details show that the victim was struck by a black Honda that fled the scene before first responders arrived.

The patient was rushed to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Paterson with serious injuries, but is expected to make a recovery.

At this time, no other information about the fleeing vehicle or the suspect has been shared, as an investigation remains in progress.
