MANCHESTER, NJ – According to The Daily Voice, a two-vehicle crash on the Jersey Shore left one person dead on Thursday night.
The crash took place just before 10:00 p.m. on Thursday night, near the intersection of State Highway 70 and Manchester Boulevard. Authorities say the collision involved two vehicles: a Dodge Ram pickup truck and a Honda Accord sedan.
The driver of the Honda was turning left onto Manchester Boulevard when the Dodge swiped the passenger side of the Honda, causing it to crash into a utility pole.
The 82-year-old driver sustained injuries in the crash and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. An 83-year-old passenger in the Honda sustained serious injuries, was taken to a local hospital for treatment, and later died. The 19-year-old driver of the Dodge was not injured in the crash.
Police continue to investigate this incident.
