Crash closes two lanes on NJT at GSP in Woodbridge Township

MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ — A vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon blocked up to two right lanes on the New Jersey Turnpike in Woodbridge Township, according to 511NJ.

The collision occurred on the northbound turnpike’s outer roadway, south of Interchange 11 to Garden State Parkway. It was first recorded by 511 at 12:27 p.m.

Officials have not said what led up to the crash, but the closure remained in place for at least 24 minutes.


By 9:51 a.m., all involved vehicles had been moved to the right shoulder, leaving travel lanes open.


It remains unclear at this time whether anyone was injured and/or taken to a hospital.
