UNION COUNTY, NJ — A vehicle accident was reported Tuesday night on the southbound New Jersey Turnpike in east Elizabeth, according to 511NJ TPK.
The wreck took place on the inner roadway of the southbound turnpike, north of Interchange 13A toward Newark Liberty International Airport and U.S. Highway 1/9. It was first recorded by 511NJ at 10:07 p.m.
Though the cause of the crash remains unclear and very few details have been made available, officials the involved vehicle was reported on the right shoulder in the aftermath, leaving all travel lanes open to traffic.
As of this writing, local agencies have not indicated any significant injuries connected to the incident.
