MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ — A vehicle accident Friday morning blocked a right shoulder on the New Jersey Turnpike in Carteret, according to 511NJ TPK.
The collision occurred on the northbound outer lanes (Interstate 95) south of Interchange 12. It was first reported by 511NJ TPK at 8:09 p.m.
Little information has been shared, but one right lane of four northbound lanes was initially blocked. Shortly after, officials said the vehicles had been moved to the right shoulder, indicating a two- or multi-vehicle crash.
The shoulder remained blocked for at least 50 minutes following the initial report.
