BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A multi-vehicle wreck Wednesday afternoon knocked over a traffic light pole at an intersection in northwest Paramus, according to Daily Voice.
The accident occurred at the busy corner of Paramus Road and West Midland Avenue/Grove Street, near Grove Park. Bergen County sheriff’s officers and Paramus Police responded to the scene shortly after 12:30 p.m.
It was unclear what caused the crash, but authorities said two SUVs and an NJ Transit bus were all involved in a chain-reaction sequence of events. A Toyota SUV driven by a young woman appeared to sustain the most significant damage as it struck and took down a light pole. Despite the property damage, no injuries to the driver or anyone else were reported.
In the immediate aftermath of the wreck, officers worked to direct a traffic backup that had built up in both directions.
