WYCOFF, NJ – A private ambulance employee was seriously injured in an accident on Route 208 Thursday afternoon, reports the Daily Voice.

Apparently, the worker and driver of the ambulance had been arguing when the man opened the front passenger door and got out of the vehicle while it was traveling southbound on Route 108 between Ewing Avenue and Russel Avenue.

A separate first responder stopped and began treating the man on the side of the roadway. He was then transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center with serious internal injuries and possible broken bones.

Authorities are investigating the incident.
