BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A 27-year-old man was hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after being hit by a vehicle in Fair Lawn while working as an Amazon deliveryman, reports Daily Voice.
The incident occurred on Pomona Avenue, a quiet residential street on the city’s west side, just before 3:30 p.m.
A preliminary investigation shows the victim, a resident of Sussex borough, was crossing the road on foot when he was struck by a 2013 Honda Civic driven by a 74-year-old Paterson resident.
Authorities said the victim, who was outfitted with a safety vest at the time, suffered an injury to his head and several scrapes. Members of the Fair Lawn Volunteer Ambulance Corps had him transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson.
No information regarding pending charges has been shared at this time. An investigation remains in progress.
