UNION TOWNSHIP, NJ — A crash Wednesday night kept part of the southbound Garden State Parkway in Cranford Township blocked for over nine hours due to repairs, according to 511NJ GSP.
The collision occurred on the southbound lanes of the GSP near Route 28. It was first reported by 511NJ shortly after 9:00 p.m.
Details are limited, but officials said the left southbound lane from north of Exit 137 (NJ-28) and north of Exit 136 (Stiles Street) was expected to remain closed until 6:00 a.m. the following morning of July 20.
At this time, no information regarding the cause of the accident, the involved vehicles, or the nature of the repairs has been provided.
