UNION COUNTY, NJ — A vehicle crash early Wednesday closed a left lane on the New Jersey Turnpike near south Elizabeth, according to 511NJ TPK.
The collision took place on the outer roadway of the northbound lanes past Interchange 13 to Interstate 278/Goethals Bridge. It was first recorded by 511NJ at 3:51 a.m.
Few details have been shared at this time, but the left outer northbound lane was blocked for over 45 minutes.

By 4:37 a.m., officials announced the scene had been cleared from the roadway, with all lanes reopened to traffic.
