CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — Five people, including four juveniles, were hospitalized Wednesday afternoon following a two-vehicle wreck near Gloucester Township, reports Daily Voice.

Gloucester Township police responded to the scene at the intersection of Berlin Cross Keys Road and Johnson Road shortly after 3:00 p.m.

According to officials, a gray Subaru Impreza was heading westbound toward the intersection. At the same time, a white Honda Pilot traveling eastbound suddenly tried to turn left onto Johnson Road, in the direct path of the Subarus. The vehicles collided head-on, causing one of them to smoke and then become fully engulfed in flames.

GTPD officers and Lambs Terrace firefighters were able to safely extricate all occupants and quickly extinguish the blaze.

One adult and two juveniles were transported to Cooper University Hospital while two other juveniles were taken to Jefferson Washington Township Hospital. Police said injuries ranged from minor to serious, but were not believed to be life-threatening.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is urged to contact the Gloucester Township Police Department at (856) 228-4500. The GTPD’s Anonymous Crime Tip Line can also be reached at (856) 842-5560.
