WALL TWP., NJ – Five people were hospitalized Wednesday morning following a collision and subsequent vehicle fire on NJ-138 in Wall Township, according to authorities.
The crash took place at 6 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 138 and Allenwood Road. Police, fire, and first aid units swiftly responded to the scene.
One of the vehicles involved in the accident was engulfed in flames, while the occupant of another vehicle was pinned inside. The trapped occupant was safely extracted from their vehicle by police and EMS personnel, while firefighters worked to extinguish the flames in the other vehicle.
A total of five people were taken to area hospitals for treatment. None of their injuries are believed to be life-threatening.
