BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ — Three male pedestrians died late Saturday after a two-vehicle collision in the Chatsworth community of Woodland Township, reports local media.
The events unfolded on Chatsworth-Barnegat Road near Magnolia Street at about 11:25 p.m.
According to New Jersey State Police, a Nissan Maxima was traveling northbound on Chatsworth-Barnegat Road (County Road 532) when it hit the back of a northbound Ford Mustang.
Officials said the Nissan then struck the three pedestrians who were in the roadway at the time.
All three male victims died as a result of their injuries, confirmed NJSP.
The driver of the Ford suffered minor injuries, but it was unclear whether they were taken to a hospital. No injuries to the Nissan driver were reported.
An investigation into the cause of the wreck remains in progress.
No pending charges have been reported as of this writing.
