SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – A two-vehicle collision on Route 130 in South Brunswick left 6 people injured on Thursday, according to centraljersey.com.
Authorities say the crash occurred just before 11:00 p.m. near the intersection of Route 130 and Route 522. A 2022 Chevy Express commuter van was turning onto Route 522 from Fresh Ponds Road when a Honda CRV Uber vehicle driving south on Route 130 drove through a red light, and slammed into the van.
One passenger in the van was ejected from the vehicle on impact. A total of six people sustained injuries in the crash, including four passengers of the van, and two from the Honda. The injured passengers were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and Princeton Medical Center for treatment.
The South Brunswick Police Department Traffic Safety Bureau continues to investigate the incident.
