2 motorcyclists die after crash on NJ-18 in Marlboro

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — Two people died Monday night after a crash involving two motorcycles on New Jersey Route 18 in Marlboro, according to local media.

The fatal wreck occurred on a span of NJ-18 near County Road 520 (Newman Springs Road), in the Morganville area. It was first reported at around 9:35 p.m.

While the cause of the crash remains under investigation, Monmouth County officials said both riders had ejected from separate motorcycles as a result.

First responders arrived on the scene to find the two victims with severe injuries. One victim was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the other victim also succumbed to their injuries a short time later despite life-saving measures.

No further information has been disclosed as authorities continue to investigate.
