BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Two drivers suffered serious injuries early Sunday due to a two-vehicle crash in northwest Fairview, according to local media.

First responders were dispatched to the scene near 650 Fairview Avenue at about 1:00 a.m.

Authorities have not said what led up to the wreck, but two passenger cars collided head-on, leaving one driver with major leg injuries and the other pinned under a steering wheel. Both victims had to be extricated before being rushed to local hospitals. No other information on the conditions of the patients has been shared, but both are expected to recover.

Though no one else was reported hurt in the event, police had to manage a reported “disorderly crowd” in the area.

An investigation remains underway.
