2 injured as SUV collides with sedan on I-80 WB in Wayne

PASSAIC COUNTY, NJ — Two people were sent to a hospital Monday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 in Wayne Township, reports Daily Voice.

The accident took place on the westbound lanes just west of the interchange with US-46/NJ-23 (the “spaghetti bowl” interchange), at about 2:30 p.m.

Authorities have not disclosed the circumstances of the wreck, but a Toyota RAV4 and a Nissan Sentra were involved.

Crews with the Wayne Township Memorial First Aid Squad tended to two patients on the scene, but the severity of the victims’ conditions was not immediately clear.

Both vehicles were removed from the scene by Camps Towing.

An investigation by New Jersey State Police was underway.
