15-year-old seriously injured in collision with MTA bus in Ridgewood

RIDGEWOOD, NJ – The Forest Hills Post reports that a 15-year-old boy riding a scooter was critically injured after colliding with an MTA bus in Ridgewood on Tuesday.

Authorities say the collision took place just after 1:00 p.m., near the intersection of Seneca Avenue and Gates Avenue. The boy was riding an unregistered, gas-powered scooter, travelling north on Seneca Avenue when he crashed into an MTA bus travelling south at Gates Avenue.

The unidentified 15-year-old sustained serious injures in the crash, and was taken to Brookdale Hospital for treatment. The bus driver involved was not injured.

Police continue to investigate this incident.
