ATLANTIC COUNTY, NJ — One person suffered serious injuries Saturday morning due to a head-on crash involving a stolen vehicle in Northfield, reports NJ.com.

The wreck occurred in the area of Shore Road and Mimi Court, shortly after a 8:45 a.m.

Northfield said the driver of the victim vehicle was seriously injured in the crash and was rushed to a local hospital.

Following the incident, two teenagers and four others in the stolen vehicle ran from the scene and entered a residence in the 200 block of Wabash Avenue. Authorities said the group carjacked a Porsche and held the car owner at gunpoint as they collected other personal items.

The six suspects fled in the stolen Porsche and were pursued by Northfield Police, who later terminated the chase due to “extremely dangerous” driving conditions.

The two teenagers were later taken into custody in Delaware, but officials say the other unknown four suspects remain at large.
