BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — One person was hurt Tuesday night due to a two-vehicle crash on Franklin Avenue in downtown Ridgewood, reports Daily Voice.
Ridgewood Police, local firefighters, and Ridgewood Emergency Services were called to the scene at the intersection with North Walnut Street.
The circumstances behind the accident were not immediately clear, but authorities said a Toyota Highland of an older model collided with a Ford Explorer.
The driver of the Toyota Highland, who suffered undisclosed injuries, was transported to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood.
No one else has been reported injured, and authorities have not indicated any pending charges.
Firefighters worked to clear a resulting fuel spill and had to disconnect the batteries in both vehicles before they were towed from the scene.
Ridgewood Police continue to investigate what led up to the crash.
