BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Firefighters had to extricate one person late Monday afternoon after a two-vehicle wreck in southeast Allendale, according to Daily Voice.

The collision occurred off the high-traffic intersection of Cottage Place and East Allendale Avenue at about 4:30 p.m. Crews with Allendale Fire Department and Ramsey Rescue responded to the scene shortly after.

Authorities have not disclosed the cause of the crash, but a Nissan Rogue SUV was T-boned and landed on a nearby lawn, leaving the driver trapped.

First responders were able to quickly remove the driver from the wreckage before transporting the patient to a local hospital. It was unclear whether anyone else was injured, but all injuries sustained in the event were considered non-life-threatening.

An investigation by the Allendale Police Department remains ongoing. No charges have been reported at this time.
