SALEM COUNTY, NJ — One person died Sunday night after a two-vehicle wreck on North Golfwood Avenue in Carneys Point, according to Daily Voice.
The fatal accident occurred on a span of road between Harding Highway (Route 48) and Penns Grove Auburn Road. Carneys Point Police, along with Carneys Point Fire and Rescue, responded to the scene shortly after 8:24 p.m.
Authorities have not disclosed the circumstances of the crash, but two pickup trucks collided, killing one driver at the scene.
The other driver, who suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, was transported to a local hospital. No other occupants appear to have been involved, and no other injuries were reported.
Carneys Point Police continue to investigate. It remains unclear whether any charges are expected to be filed.
