Woman Killed on Route 1 in South Brunswick

MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ – A woman was struck and killed by a car on Route 1 in South Brunswick on Tuesday evening, according to Nj.com.

When police arrived at the scene near the intersection of Route 1 and Deans Lane just after 7 p.m., they found bystanders attending to the victim.

Despite the life-saving efforts of good Samaritans, police, and EMS, the woman died at the scene. Her identity has not yet been released.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

An investigation into the accident is still ongoing.
