KEYPORT, NJ – One person is dead after their 21-foot boat capsized and sank in Raritan Bay on Saturday morning, according to Daily Voice.
The victim was pulled from the water by a good Samaritan after the boat capsized at about 10 a.m. The Coast Guard was able to respond to the scene in less than ten minutes. They continued CPR as they transported the victim to land and were met by an EMS. There the victim was then pronounced dead.
The boat sank off the shore in about 30 feet of water. The victim was the only occupant.
At this time, it is unclear why the boat capsized.
