Man crashes into Chatham mailbox after medical episode

CHATHAM, NJ – A Madison man crashed into a mailbox after suffering a medical episode while driving in Chatham on Wednesday evening, according to Daily Voice.

A 68-year-old driver suffered an unspecified medical episode while driving on Rockledge Trail. He lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a mailbox at about 5:15 p.m.

Local police rushed to aid the driver. They found the 68-year-old man slumped over his steering wheel and unresponsive. Officers broke the window, extracted the man, and began CPR.

When paramedics arrived, they transported the man to Morristown Memorial Hospital.
