Two injured in North Bergen crash

NORTH BERGEN, NJ – According to the Hudson County View, two people were injured in a crash in North Bergen early Sunday.

The initial report of the accident said that one vehicle had struck a utility pole in the 900 block of Tonnelle Avenue at about 3:35 a.m. Upon investigation, officials discovered that a 1999 Nissan Maxima was driving north when it struck a parked 2012 Honda Civic. The Maxima continued on into a utility pole, ejecting the front-seat passenger.

Both occupants of the Maxima sustained injuries. The 31-year-old driver, Nathaniel Dickerson, as well as the 31-year-old passenger.

Both were transported from the scene to a local hospital for injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

The accident remains under investigation.
