MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ – According to Daily Voice, several vehicle fires were reported in Middlesex County on Tuesday afternoon.
In Sayreville, a car caught fire at about 6:30 p.m. while it was being towed down Route 9 near Amboy Cinemas. The tow-truck driver quickly took action and unhooked the car from the truck. It was fully engulfed when firefighters began to extinguish the vehicle. They were able to put the fire out in about six minutes.
A second fire in North Brunswick was reported at about 7 p.m. Officials arrived at a fully engulfed vehicle in the 1000 block of Livingston Avenue.
There were no injuries reported in either of the fires.
