JERSEY CITY, NJ – An investigation is underway into a two-car accident in Jersey City June 4 that left one of the drivers seriously hurt.
This is an update to a previous story.
The crash happened at about 6:30 a.m. on Route 440 South at the intersection of Route 185 South. A 34-year-old Bayonne man driving a 2012 Honda Accord southbound on Route 440 was struck by a 1992 Toyota Celica traveling southbound on Route 185, according to an initial investigation by the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office.
The driver of the Honda was hospitalized at Jersey City Medical Center with serious injuries, while the driver of the Toyota suffered a minor injury and was released from the hospital.
The official investigation into the crash is being conducted by the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit.
