SPARTA, NJ – A dump truck crashed into a utility pole near Sussex County Technical School on Monday morning, the NJ Herald reports.
Sparta Police Lt. John Lamon stated that the driver, Corey Houston, 29, was driving southbound along Route 94 when he swerved and struck a pole at approximately 5:41 a.m.
Houston told reporters that a bee flew into his vehicle when he lost control and crashed.
The accident caused a minor outage in the area, but was repaired by a crew from Jersey Central Power & Light.
White Lake Road was closed for several hours due to the accident and reopened at around 11:30 a.m.
There were no injuries reported.
