A driver from Lodi drove about a mile and a half on three wheels after a collision with a parked car in Sadde Brook early Friday morning, April 17.
28 year-old Salvatore Bonodonna received several summonses after police in Garfield caught him right after his crippled sedan struck a 2019 Nissan Rogue on Market Street at 8 a.m.
Police say the 2008 Cadillac CTS lost a wheel following a crash with a parked vehicle on 7th Street in Saddle Brook at approximately 5 a.m.
Bonodonna, who suffered minor injuries, received summonses for leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash and failure to report a vehicle crash. Additional summonses may be given out after investigation.
We are glad no one was seriously hurt in this incident. We hope the driver is more responsible on the roadway next time.
Vehicular Accidents

We urge drivers to observe and follow the laws while driving, and to remain focused while driving so that they can react accordingly to situations that may suddenly pop up on the roadway. Drivers should be more careful when driving while visibility is low, and they should also check their car before going on the roadway. Being more diligent and prepared can help lessen accidents on the roads of New Jersey.
